LAHORE: In response to public complaints regarding delayed responses and alleged corruption, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) underwent a significant reshuffle.
The caretaker Chief Minister, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, made a surprise visit to the LDA’s one-window cell and ordered action to be taken.
The visit revealed complaints from citizens about the lack of promptness from the concerned directorates regarding their applications.
As a result, the CM expressed frustration and initially demanded a complete overhaul of the one-window cell staff.
However, it was later discovered that most of the issues originated from other directorates.
Subsequently, the LDA administration transferred the one-window director and several other officials involved.
The transfer of officers, including the director of the one-window cell, was announced in a notification issued by LDA Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
The reshuffle aimed to address the concerns raised by the public and improve the efficiency of the LDA.
Additionally, an official order emphasized the need for timely processing of applications and directed staff members with pending applications to attend the office six days a week from 9 am to 5 pm.
Furthermore, the order also extended the working hours for the one-window cell to accommodate citizen applications.
