RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has booked 7 unlawful housing developments while registering FIRs and prohibiting them from advertising since the local government has not granted NOCs.
According to an RDA official, the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate started legal action against the unauthorized housing plans under the direction of DG RDA Tahir Zafar Abbasi.
The authorities had filed formal FIRs and sent notices to the owners of 7 illegal housing projects, including:
- Capital Valley Mouza Thallian
- Islamabad Golf City Mouza Thallian
- Pearl Enclave Mouza Thallian
- AL-Madina Valley Girja Road
- The Countryside Farms Chak Beli Khan Road
- Prism Town Gujar Khan
- New Metro City Gujar Khan in Rawalpindi
RDA also cautioned the people planning to invest, adding that, advertising, developing, and marketing of any project was illegal before obtaining the NOC.
The MP&TE directorate has also written to the Director Cyber Crimes, FIA, requesting to take the required actions in investigating the unlawful social media advertising of the aforementioned housing schemes.
Furthermore, the advertisements for the unlawful housing plans on social media have also been reported to the district collector, the district council, and PEMRA.
