ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan highlighted that it should be against the law for politicians to put their nameplates on properties controlled by the government.
During a land claim hearing for a petition filed by the Evacuee Trust Property Board, judges made these remarks under a two-member bench presided over by Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
SC remarked that any politician was free to donate their own property to the government, but it questioned how they could emblazon public lands with their names.
The court also ordered that copies of the order be sent to the attorney general and chief secretary of the Punjab government.
