Karachi’s Scheme 33 Has Become a No-Go Area: Sindh High Court

KARACHI: The hearing of the case related to land grabbing of plots in the private society of Scheme 33, Karachi, was heard at the Sindh High Court.

The court asked Deputy Commissioner Sharqi to tell whether the land of the private society was transferred or not. On which the Deputy Commissioner said that action was being taken but no progress had been made.

The court remarked that people had invested lifetime savings on plots with the hope to get hold of their land.

Deputy Commissioner requested the court to give a two-month respite, on which the court asked what he would do in these two months.

Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi remarked that in his times, one SDM alone controlled everything, and that the DC had so many teams to get the job done swiftly.
