PESHAWAR: The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) coordinator has requested the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) administration to waive the property tax in the province’s industrial estates.
In a meeting with the managing director (MD) and deputy managing director of the Small Industries Development Board (SIDB), it was urged that the government waive the property tax in the industrial estates in Kohat and Peshawar, exactly as it does in the economic zone.
As per the details, it was stated that domestic small businesses play a very vital role in the development and growth of a country. Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) need to be encouraged and supported.
The participants received assurances from the MD (SIDB) that he would bring up this matter with the KP government.
Participants at the conference also talked about creating a new industrial zone in Upper Chitral and the Chitral Economic Zone.
