Construction of Houses for Flood Affectees in Punjab to Start in 15 days

LAHORE: The minister for local government and community development (LGCD), Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, and MPA Sardar Ahmed Ali Dareshak, visited flood-affected areas of south Punjab.

The minister stated that the survey of flood victims’ houses had begun and that construction would begin within 15 days.

He stated that the government would rebuild every affected person’s house. According to the minister, crop and livestock losses would be compensated for.

The road from DG Khan to Jodhpur, according to MPA Sardar Ahmad Ali Dareshak, has been completely destroyed. “I assure you that road construction will begin very soon,” he added.

He also stated that the Revenue Department’s entire staff, including the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, ACs, and patwaris, remained in the field conducting relief work.

The provincial minister distributed food, gas stoves, and other supplies. He also visited the nearby villages of DG Khan, spoke with the flood victims, and inquired about their issues.
