Chairman CDA Seeks Design to Make Srinagar Highway Signal-Free

Chairman Capital Development Authority, Captain(R) Usman Younis, presided over a meeting to discuss several options for making Srinagar Highway signal free.

Officials of the traffic design wing, members engineering, and members planning were present at the meeting.

According to the details, the chairman ordered the authority to gather traffic and causality data and design modern elevated U-turns while taking into account the city’s growing population.

He further pressed that the designs must be cost-effective and sustainable for the environment catering to the city’s demands.

As per the details, the traffic design wing was ordered to submit the plans in the next 5 days.

Furthermore, the chairman added that the launch of an integrated bus service and new projects would aid in smooth traffic flow, reduce fuel consumption, and promote environmental protection.

Chairman Usman Younis also stated that his utmost priority was to provide the best possible facilities to the residents of Islamabad.
