ISLAMABAD: The pace of multiple development projects being carried out by the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has intensified in order to offer employees contemporary residential amenities in the shortest possible time.
An official of the Ministry of Housing and Works stated that the Chaklala Scheme has 3,432 flats, while the Skyline Apartments have 3,945 units, which have been built at an extraordinary pace.
He added that Minister for Housing and Works, Maulana Abdul Wasay, was also focused on providing housing facilities to staff and asked the concerned officials to expedite the ongoing FGEHA projects such as Kashmir Avenue Apartments, G-13 Chaklala Heights, and Skyline Apartments.
According to the official, the minister urged the site employees to ensure quality and timely completion, urging them to proceed with construction on both schemes rapidly.
In addition to these projects, the FGEHA is establishing new housing initiatives and an advertisement in this regard for expressions of interest in land sharing had already been published in several publications in Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Quetta, and Peshawar.
In response to a question, he stated that the ministry has given over 1,652 Provisional Offer Letters (POLs) for residences in the Kashmir Avenue residential development, G-13, Islamabad.
Out of the total, 796 POLs were A-Category, 857 were B-Category, and 184 interim allotments were revoked owing to non-payment of dues.
