Islamabad to Get First-Ever Child Protection Institute

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has planned to allocate 8 Kanal of land for Islamabad’s First ever Child Protection Institute.

A board meeting was held to discuss the execution of the planned Child Protection Institute along with several other development projects in the Capital territory.

According to the details, the Ministry of Human Rights will be responsible for the construction of the institute that will ensure the safety of children who are vulnerable, and will also provide rehabilitation services to the survivors of child abuse.

The child protection Institute will be located in H-11/4 and will be established under the Islamabad Capital Territory Child Protection Act 2018.

The meeting also discussed the ICT Zoning Regulations 1998 for Islamabad’s Zone III, and it is expected that the CDA would allow construction on the green lands, however, the type of construction is not yet clear.
