Karachi Administrator Vows to Protect Govt Land from Land Mafia

KARACHI: The Karachi Administrator, Dr. Syed Saif ur Rahman, said that the land of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation should be protected from the land mafia by all means.

In a meeting, the administrator stated that the Supreme Court had issued clear orders for encroachments, hence, no leniency should be shown in such cases.

He added that the land was an asset of the citizens of Karachi therefore it should be saved from encroachers.

He also suggested that to save the land from encroachments, land should be auctioned discreetly without delay.

During the meeting, the administrator also reviewed the recovery status of the land and asked the KMC land and property to expedite the land recovery process and issue notices to the defaulters who have due payments.

Additionally, he said that the KMC should digitalize all the land records to enhance productivity to its full potential.

The meeting was attended by Municipal Commissioner Syed Shujaat Hussian, Senior Director Anti-Encroachment, Imran Ahmed Rajput, Senior Director Land, Najam uz Zaman, Additional Director, and Deputy Director Land Department.

  1. Government is it self a land mafia. If not that just make the land record online? People safety is only on online land record, otherwise today your and tomorrow someone else will suffer. Government institutes sales and overseas buys later some other owners appairs and claim the land belongs to him. Therefore corrupt government gives birth to corrupt officers and overseas suffers.

  2. Allahhamdullilah I sold my property and left Pakistan. I live my peaceful life in KSA.
    Pakistan has no future. Pakistan isn’t a stable country nor the real estate.

    New Government new policies. I don’t want to invest in Pakistan.
