The Finance Division has granted PKR 5,915 million to the Ministry of Housing and Works as part of austerity measures for the current fiscal year 2022-2023 (FY2022-23).
The Ministry of Housing and Works has sought a grant of PKR 9,179 million to satisfy the ministry’s and associated ministries’ requirements.
According to the details, after the budgetary allocation was agreed upon and completed in June 2022, the Finance Division sent the assigned money to the ministry.
It was shared that the Finance Division has already imposed austerity on budget allocation, reducing the budget by PKR 55.163 million.
Additionally, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) was assigned the duty of maintaining and restoring Pak Secretariat Islamabad; however, no funds have yet been spent on renovations.
It was stated that no money has been returned to the Finance Division and the allotted funds for the fiscal year 2021-2022 were spent by the general section.
