KARACHI: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) will conduct a drone survey of its lands in order to identify and remove illegal encroachments.
CEO KWSWB, Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, directed the concerned Superintendents, Executives, and Resident Engineers to conduct a drone survey of all the lands of the Water Board immediately.
It was shared that a joint operation involving law enforcement agencies will be launched to take strict legal action against encroachers, including retired employees who have illegally occupied KWSB colonies.
KWSWB Chief Security Officer, Nisar Ahmad Magsi, noted that the Sindh police were not ready to assist in the effort and that the IG police should be informed about this.
During the meeting, Chief Engineer Bilak Sikandar Zardari also emphasized the need for the geographical identification of the Hub Pumping Station and other vital installations.
Furthermore, it was stated that security would be tightened at all vital KWSWB installations, filter plants, and pumping stations.
