KOHAT: A jirga (tribal council) in Kohat, Pakistan expressed disappointment with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Mahmood Khan for failing to launch any major development projects in the district.
Despite the fact that the region generates billions of rupees in royalty from oil and gas exploration, no major development projects have been executed in the region.
The council also highlighted the failure of local lawmakers to follow through on promises to widen the main artery in front of the Kohat Gate, and construct a recycling plant and the Liaquat Memorial Hospital, which was inaugurated in 2018 by former Chief Minister Pervez Khattak but has yet to be built.
The council also complained that the KDA Teaching Hospital had not received the necessary machinery despite lawmakers’ pledges to provide it.
It was also shared by the council that the authorities have inaugurated the recycling plant several times again but failed to start its construction.
