Rawalpindi Waste Management Company Conducts Cleanliness Drive

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) communication teams ran a door-to-door campaign in the vicinity of UC-31 Dhoke Hukamdad here on Monday to raise awareness about cleanliness.

According to the sources, to emphasize the value of cleanliness, garbage bags and brochures were provided to homeowners.

The spokesperson of RWMC stated that the drive would continue to raise awareness among citizens as instructed by the higher authorities.

To prevent the reproduction and proliferation of mosquitoes and other illnesses, the teams pleaded with the locals to maintain their houses and places of employment tidy and dry.

The spokesperson claimed that keeping the surroundings clean would also support the improvement of society as a whole.

Besides, the teams advertised the company’s helpline number “1139” for residents to inquire or discuss any query regarding waste collection or cleanliness. The helpline can be used to register their complaints and give feedback.

He said that the Management of RWMC was committed to keeping the city clean and green and various activities were underway with the active participation of community members.

  1. The situation of Nullas along the road side in Cantonment areas of Rawalpindi, especially surrounding areas of Kalma Chowk, Dhoke Sydan Chowk is very pathetic.
    I request CEO RCB to take action accordingly and save millions of rupees spent on maintenance of roads in this area.
