RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) communication teams launched a door-to-door campaign in the vicinity of UC-36 Mohan Pura to raise awareness about cleanliness.
To emphasize the value of cleanliness, garbage bags and booklets were provided to homeowners, claims an RWMC spokesperson.
Furthermore, with the reproduction and proliferation of mosquitoes and other illnesses, the teams pleaded with the locals to keep their homes and places of employment tidy and dry.
The representative of RWMC said that keeping our surroundings clean would help the improvement of society as a whole.
The teams also provided information on the company’s helpline, 1139, where citizens may record complaints and provide comments regarding cleanliness or garbage collection.
He said that the management of RWMC was committed to keeping the city clean and green, and an ambitious plan of various activities was underway with the active participation of community members.
