PESHAWAR: The Deputy Commissioner of Peshawar, along with officers from the Peshawar Development Authority, conducted a joint operation to remove illegal encroachments and constructions outside the Karkhano Market, the largest shopping center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The operation was carried out with the use of heavy machinery, and a large police presence was deployed to prevent any incidents.
It is important to note that, this was the second operation of its kind in the market in recent weeks.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner has stated that the campaign against encroachments will continue and those who rebuild them will face stern action.
Earlier, the authorities took action against the encroachers in the Nauthia Bazaar in Karkhano Market where vehicles were parked on several points of the road, creating problems for both traffic and pedestrians.
However, it was shared that the condition was still the same, and the pushcarts were seen on the roads and footpaths.
