LAHORE: The Director General of Anti-corruption, Lahore, has initiated a comprehensive investigation to address the issue of illegal occupation of government lands in Chowk Sarwar Shaheed, District Muzaffargarh.
This action follows a formal complaint filed against two individuals who, in collaboration with revenue staff, orchestrated the illegal transfer of government land into their names by forging officials’ signatures.
Despite multiple cancellations of the land transfer, these individuals have persistently used their influence to regain possession of the government’s land.
As per the details, the investigation is focusing on Muhammad Alam and Muhammad Ayub, residents of Haroon House, Kot Adu Road, Chowk Sarwar Shaheed, District Muzaffargarh.
Besides, they are also accused of encroaching upon approximately 25 acres of government land located at 584 TDA, behind Government Boys College.
The Director General of Anti-corruption emphasizes the need for a fair and impartial investigation, assuring the public that the real facts will emerge, and justice will be served.
The residents and concerned citizens in the area hoped that the investigation will put an end to the illegal occupation and restore the government land to its rightful state.
Furthermore, the community urged authorities to take swift and decisive action against the illegal occupants.
The DG assured the public that the investigation will be transparent and unbiased, and if found guilty, the illegal occupants will be held accountable.
