KARACHI: A policeman got shot during an anti-encroachment operation at Hingora Goth Superhighway.
The district administration carried out the anti-encroachment operation with the assistance of the police department.
As per the details, the land mafia had occupied the government’s land.
SHO Idris Bangash said that when they started demolishing the illegal constructions, they were attacked by a group of individuals who were protesting against the operation.
He added that someone started firing, resulting in injuries to Constable Jan Nisar.
A police spokesperson also shared that the protestors blocked both sides of the highway for an hour. However, it was vacated by the authorities.
