QUETTA: The Parliamentary Secretary for Science, Technology, Law, and Parliamentary Affairs, announced on Monday that the draft law for the implementation of the ‘Land Revenue Management Information System’ in Balochistan had been submitted to the assembly following approval by the provincial cabinet.
According to the secretary, the whole of Balochistan’s revenue records will be computerized as part of this project.
The project was being introduced in four districts in the first phase, including Quetta, Gwadar, Jafarabad, and Pashin, and upon successful completion, it would be expanded to the entire province, she added.
Dr. Rubaba Buledi stated that the land record computerization project had been implemented successfully in Punjab and other provinces and that it was now being implemented in Balochistan.
She stated that under the project, land records would be available to users not only up to the Patwari’s settlement but also on the Revenue Department’s official website, where interested parties could easily check their land and property records.
