Builder Shot Dead in DHA Karachi

KARACHI: In a series of incidents, Karachi witnessed an outbreak of gun violence, resulting in the death of a builder and leaving five others injured on Wednesday.

According to details, Uzair, a 32-year-old builder and son of Humayun, sustained critical injuries during a firing incident that took place between Tuesday and Wednesday near the Malir Cantonment police station.

Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he tragically succumbed to his wounds, while the police identified the perpetrator as Shafiq, a security guard from a nearby building.

As per the details, Uzair had recently moved to the Malir Cantonment area, having previously resided in Federal B Area.

The incident occurred while he was sitting at a local tea shop with friends, and chaos ensued as the firing erupted, causing panic among people trying to shield themselves.

The incident has raised concerns about the growing gun violence in the city, prompting authorities to intensify their investigations to apprehend the perpetrators and restore safety and security in the affected areas.
