ISLAMABAD: During an operation against the land-grabbing gang, the capital police detained 9 accused land grabbers.
An operation against land speculators is presently underway, according to a police spokesperson, and it is being carried out as per the instructions of Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Islamabad.
He said that police officers intervened when a civilian requested their assistance to protect his property from the suspected grabbers.
The Sihala police squad swiftly responded after getting the information and detained nine suspects, he continued.
Furthermore, the spokesperson noted that a complaint had been filed against the arrested suspect and additional investigation was ongoing while police also confiscated a car used by the land grabbers.
Besides, Abdullah, Haji Alam, Mena Zada, Alam Khan, Saman Gul, Gul Hakim, Sultan Wali, Wali Khan, and Muhammad Wali were named as the alleged land grabbers.
Additionally, CPO Operations also warned that land-grabbing would not be condoned and that indiscriminate action would be taken against anybody trespassing on a citizen’s property.
