Capital Smart City Introduces e-Challan to Ease Payments

ISLAMABAD: The Management of Capital Smart City (CSC) and Lahore Smart City (LSC) has upgraded their Smart Transaction Processing System (STPS) with e-Challans through their CMT Accounts (UBL & Askari Bank.)

The newly introduced system shall use the e-Challan service that would assist customers in paying their dues and performing other financial transactions in favor of Capital Smart City and Lahore Smart City.

According to the finance department of CSC and LSC, payments made through this channel will also relieve people from sharing payment proof in the shape of email or WhatsApp messages.

According to details, this upgraded mode of payment has certain advantages over the traditional transaction system, including:

  • Quick, effective, and easy way of processing
  • Comprehensive details of the owner
  • Accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions
  • Automated ledgerization of customer’s record

“The organization is always looking for ways to improve the accuracy and efficiency of services by making them more reliable and comfortable for people paying their plots installments, transfer fee, and other financial exchanges,” Capital Smart City said in an email sent to its members.

They also urged the customers to deposit cash, pay orders, or cheque via e-Challan rather than bank deposit slips.

How to Make Payments through e-Challan

The administration of CSC and LSC also shared a comprehensive method of how to make payments through e-Challan.

  1. The customers are requested to download the e-Challan directly from the website www.smartcitypk.com/eservices or by registering and logging into the member’s web portal before visiting the bank to deposit cash, pay an order, or cheque.
  2. The auto-filled e-Challan can be downloaded by registered members from their member portal.
  3. The Android and iOS apps can also be used to download the e-Challan.
  4. After downloading the e-Challan, it is mandatory to fill in the required information and proceed to the nearest Bank (UBL/Askari) branch to deposit the amount.

Furthermore, the management also issued certain precautions, that are advised to be acknowledged before payments:

  1. Members who have not yet registered on the customer’s web portal are advised to do so by visiting  https://fdhlpk.com/property/web/index.php?r=portal or by sending a request for credentials at [email protected].
  2. Since each downloaded challan has a unique sequence number, each challan can only be used for one deposit. (Do not use a photocopy of the e-Challan for any other transaction.)
  3. e-Challan does not apply to online/internet transfers. Customers who wish to pay online may continue with that method.
