Caretaker Chief Minister Approves Multibillion-Rupee Projects

GUJRANWALA: Caretaker Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has given the green light to ten major projects, amounting to billions of rupees, during a meeting held at the Circuit House.

According to the details, the approved projects include road construction, bypass construction, and the establishment of a burns unit.

One of the major projects approved is the construction of a 15km road, costing Rs. 11 billion, which will be connected to the motorway and completed within 80 days.

Additionally, a bypass at Wazirabad Chowk, connecting Rawalpindi and Islamabad, has been given the go-ahead.

The establishment of a burns unit and the improvement and widening of the road from Muridke and Narowal to Kartarpur has also received approval.

Furthermore, plans have been announced to beautify a 15km stretch of the internal GT Road from Chand Qala to Aziz Cross.

Caretaker Chief Minister Naqvi emphasized the need for improved law and order in Bharum and directed police officials to investigate cases against the “miscreants” based on merit.

During a visit to Gujranwala Teaching Hospital, the chief minister inspected various departments and the ongoing construction work.

He suggested the shifting of 200 beds to the new hospital to alleviate the burden on the existing facility, and the relocation of different departments from the civil hospital to reduce overcrowding.
