Punjab CM Naqvi Vows to Improve WASA Efficiency

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has emphasized that clean drinking water and an effective sewage system are the basic rights of every citizen.

During a meeting of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) to review rehabilitation projects, Naqvi stated that there was no room for negligence in the installation of water supply lines and reservoirs, and in providing basic facilities to citizens.

He directed that to solve citizens’ problems, WASA must abandon its conventional methods and adopt modern ones to become a truly public institution under the caretaker government.

The meeting was attended by Punjab’s chief, housing, and finance secretaries, Lahore division commissioner, Lahore deputy commissioner, and officers concerned with WASA management.

  1. Dear Sir, this is to inform you that our area has been facing a persistent issue of contaminated, brown-colored, and extremely smelling water for the past 4 months. Despite repeated complaints, there has been no resolution. This contaminated water poses a serious health risk to the residents, and we have been forced to purchase expensive drinking and daily use water from the commercial market, which is unfair.
