Caretaker CM Urges Timely Completion of Lahore’s Development Projects

LAHORE: Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, chaired a meeting at his office to assess the advancement of major development projects in Lahore, emphasizing the importance of adhering to project timelines for timely completion.

During the meeting, the chief minister urged officials to expedite the initiation of new projects and make prompt decisions regarding designs and other necessary matters.

He sternly warned that any delays or negligence in public welfare development projects would not be tolerated.

To minimize inconvenience to citizens during the construction phase, the meeting highlighted the need for well-designed alternative traffic plans.

The progress of various projects, including the elevated expressway, Nawaz Sharif interchange underpass, Cavalry signal-free road, Arfa Karim Tower, Ferozepur Road to Pine Avenue, Sattukatla nullah, Main Boulevard to Walton, and CBD project, was reviewed during the meeting.

In addition, the Chief Minister directed the Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) to expedite the plantation and landscaping project at the airport.

He also emphasized the improvement of the green belt on Mall Road. The provincial metropolis will witness landscaping along the airport’s runway and plantation at intersections and roads.

The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Housing, Azfar Ali Nasir, the Chief Secretary, Chairman P&D, Commissioner Lahore, DG LDA, DG PHA, and representatives from NESPAK & FWO.
