CDA Allocates Burial and Cremation Grounds for Minority Communities in Federal Capital

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has taken comprehensive measures to cater to the religious requirements of minority communities in the federal capital.

An official from the CDA informed that the authority had designated two cremation grounds in Sector H-9. These grounds, measuring 0.49 acres and 0.50 acres, have been allocated for the Hindu and Buddhist communities, respectively.

In addition to this, the official disclosed that graveyards have been established in Sector H-9 and Sector H-8 for various communities. The Christians have been provided with a 9.01-acre graveyard, the Bhais with 1.70 acres, and the Qadianis with 3.424 acres.

The CDA’s initiative aimed to ensure that all communities in the capital have access to suitable facilities for their burial and cremation rites.

Furthermore, the CDA has taken steps to address environmental concerns by focusing on sewage treatment and water recycling, emphasizing its pledge to environmental sustainability.

The CDA continues to work towards fostering an inclusive environment in the federal capital, ensuring that the needs of all its residents, irrespective of their religious beliefs, are met with utmost consideration.
