CDA Allocates Over 400 Plots in Islamabad’s Sector-C

ISLAMABAD: According to a news statement, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday distributed more than 400 plots to landowners in sectors C-14, C-15, and C-16.

As per the details, these areas had been purchased by the CDA in 2008, but the allocation cases were still pending.

According to the land-sharing agreement under which the civic agency bought these sectors, the owners of a four-Kanal plot were entitled to receive a one-Kanal developed plot from the civic body.

As per the news statement, the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) conducted balloting to distribute 411 plots to landowners in the aforementioned areas.

It stated that in compliance with the Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) direction and the federal cabinet’s decision to grant rehabilitation payments to landholders, Chairman Mohammad Usman had instructed the land directorate to implement a transparent structure.

Furthermore, a specific counter was also set up for the affected parties, and files were examined via computerized voting by NADRA.

According to the press release the remaining landowners of the revenue estates Bokra, Sarihan, and Sheikhpur will receive their due plots next month.
