CDA Asked to Finish the Bhara Kahu Underpass within Four Months

PM Shehbaz Sharif has asked CDA to finish the Bhara Kahu underpass within four months and to have the inter-city bus service operating by next month.

Since traffic congestion on Murree Road has worsened, the project has been hampered by disproportionate delays, creating public outrage.

The 7.8-kilometer-long bypass is part of the Margalla Road project, which aims to give an alternate route back to Murree, Galyat, and Kashmir.

The bypass would begin in the Malpur region and end on Murree Road close to Satra Meel.

The CDA has chosen to favor the planned flyover project above the bypass proposal.

The creation of a flyover will alleviate traffic congestion, according to a recent plan from the civic agency’s engineering division.
