CDA Asks FWO to Submit PC-1 Draft for Bara Kahu Bypass

Bara Kahu Bypass has been delayed and has caused disruption for many citizens as they have to suffer greatly due to the traffic jams on the congested routes in the Bara Kahu area while traveling to Murree and Azad Kashmir.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the cornerstone for this project last year in April.

The project is a 7.8 kilometers long bypass which is the sub-project of the Margala road and is planned to provide an alternate route to the people who commute towards Murree, Galiyat, and Azad Kashmir.

The first phase of the project, which was from Sangjani to D-12, is halfway through as the Capital Development Authority and their contractors, Federal Works Organization, have shown dedication and are trying to deliver it in time.

However, the second phase of the project, i.e. the Bara Kahu bypass, has been halted as CDA has requested FWO to submit the Planning Commission 1 (PC-1) draft as soon as possible to avoid further delay.

Once the PC-1 draft is submitted to CDA for review and gets approved, Phase 2 of the project will start officially.
