ISLAMABAD: Following a surge in complaints, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman, Captain Noor ul Amin Mengal, has established a High Powered Facilitation Committee to address citizens’ grievances in a timely manner.
The committee will be chaired by the CDA Chairman himself and will include the Member Planning, Member Estate, Member Engineering, Member Environment, Director General Law, and the Deputy Director General of concerned formations.
The newly appointed Deputy Director General (Coordination), Yasir Farhad, will serve as the committee’s secretary and will be responsible for providing secretarial support for the committee’s operations.
During his first month in office, the CDA Chairman noted numerous issues faced by citizens, such as plot allotment and possession, building plan approvals, illegal occupations, and delays in the issuance of layout plans for housing societies.
The committee will also hear complaints regarding encroachment in various areas and natural streams of Islamabad.
Furthermore, to preserve the green and beautiful environment of Islamabad, the committee will address complaints related to plantations, illegal tree cutting, and environmental pollution.
The committee will also prioritize addressing the problems faced by those affected in Islamabad.
Citizens will be able to submit their complaints to the committee’s secretary after consultation with the High Powered Facilitation Committee.
The committee will convene once a week to discuss all complaints in detail, and the secretary will maintain records of all complaints and progress made on them.
Additionally, the committee’s secretary will resolve citizens’ complaints promptly by liaising with the concerned DG.
