ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman, Captain (Ret.) Noorul Amin Mengal, led a massive operation against encroachments on Wednesday.
The operation, which was joined by the DG Enforcement, started at Taramari Chowk and proceeded to Panjgaran.
During the operation, illegal structures occupying two kilometers of Lehtrar Road, including 11 rooms, 53 sheds, 2 block factories, 35 fruit stalls, and 19 signboards, were cleared to ensure smoother traffic flow.
Another operation was conducted near Tarnol on G T Road, where illegal structures such as 9 kiosks, 8 rooms, 11 tire shops, 14 containers, and 4 chappar hotels were removed.
A CDA official stated that the enforcement wing would continue to carry out anti-encroachment operations in both urban and rural areas of the federal capital as per the directives of the CDA Chairman.
