ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) failed to hold the promised khuli kutcheri for the general public, resulting in disappointment and frustration for over a hundred complainants, including allottees of sector I-12.
Despite announcing the event a few days prior, the CDA chairman Noor ul Amin did not show up with his team, causing the complainants to wait in vain at the G-9 cricket ground.
The purpose of the khuli kutcheri was for the allottees to report the illegal occupation by dwellers in sector I-12, particularly in I-12/3, and discuss the slow development progress in the area.
The allottees expressed their disappointment at the cancellation of the event, calling it a waste of their valuable time.
They also voiced their concerns about the inordinate delay in the possession of their plots, and the failure of the CDA to develop the sector despite earning millions of rupees from the allottees.
As a result of the absence of the CDA chairman, the allottees decided to hold a meeting in sector I-12 to discuss their future plans and seek relief from every possible forum.
