The Gandhara Heritage Culture and Convention Centre in F-9’s Citizen Club have been vacant for years, and the facility spreads over 22 acres with 265,000 square feet of covered area.

The also board approved rules for the Gandhara center in October 2021 and decided that a board of governors would manage it, with citizens paying for the facilities provided by the Convention Centre.

Moreover, the CDA board also approved a new business policy to waive land use conversion fees for private schools, showrooms, automobile workshops, hospitals, hostels, and nurseries.

The CDA will only charge a nominal license fee annually for businesses setting up on 9 major roads to keep residential areas free from uncontrolled commercial activities.

Similarly, the board meeting rejected a proposal that recommended the CDA take over housing and commercial projects in Islamabad that were approved by Rawalpindi and vice versa.
