ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has shared a summary with the federal government to form a revised master plan for Islamabad.
As per the details, the CDA has formed a seven-member bench led by the Director General of design to review the building control regulations.
It was shared that the regulations will be revised for a clearer understanding and to remove typos and ambiguities.
While citing examples, an official said it took three years to construct buildings on plots of different sizes.
Moreover, per the new proposal, the CDA has 10 days to decide on the building plans.
It is important to mention that the current master plan was designed by a Greek company named Doxiadis Associates. The company recommended that the masterplan has to be revised every 20 years.
However, no considerable efforts were made, and previous governments changed the master plan selectively.

CDA must also revise ICT Limits and as per plan extend it up to motor way M1 a future projected area.
Only have Name CDA inside have very big corruption there is too many societys unaproved unplanned CDA plots only for their relatives not for the regular person who needs the plot file sold for cheap to their relatives and the regular person buys the file with huge amounts of money need to revise that plan also. I am an overseas Paksitani till 40 years but I never got any plot in overseas society.
In my opinion Islamabad is one of the beautiful city with natural greenery in and around it but unfortunately CDA / Government has not paid much attention to retain its natural beauty. Especially the establishment of Lake Park View right on the bank of Rawal lake has not only destroyed natural beauty but has also polluted the environmental. In my suggestion new residential housing scheme on Margala Hills and around closer vicinity of Islamabad must be stopped forthwith . As a citizen of Pakistan it’s my very humble request and suggestion to stop further extension of Islamabad. Concentration should be given to keep Islamabad ‘s natural beauty intact and No repeated No permission on any kind of hotels , parks , housing sechmes on Margala Hill please.
Sir, agree with u but lust of money is making peaceful life in natural environment ‘miserable ‘.
Some societies are selling over and above files whereas those donot have ample land. CDA needs to see all these anamolies…….. When socities sell extra files they acquire more agricultural land which in turn affect the environment.
