ISLAMABAD: Mohammad Usman, Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), has announced the construction of five new parking plazas in some of the commercial areas in Islamabad.
As per the sources, the Chairman directed the CDA engineering wing to develop the projects, stating that the parking plazas are essential for the city.
According to the plan, CDA will be constructing the five plazas in the following locations:
- Three parking plazas in Blue Area, one near Savour Foods
- Two parking facilities in Sector F-10 Markaz
- One Parking plaza in Sector F-8 Markaz
The construction of the projects will start in June next year and will cost PKR 35.8 million, with a total parking capacity of 3,500 automobiles.
The commissioner also stated that people would have to use these parking facilities once they are built and fines will have to be paid in case of parking on the streets.
