CDA to Construct Grand Garden at D-Chowk as a ‘Tribute to Democracy’

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to construct a grand garden at D-Chowk, located in front of the Parliament Lodges as a ‘tribute to democracy’.

The garden will enhance the beauty of the federal capital and provide citizens and parliamentarians with a peaceful retreat.

As per the details, Private companies and developers will collaborate with the CDA to design and construct the garden, which is set to be completed by August 14, 2023.

The Chairman of CDA, Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, has directed all officers to utilize all available resources to ensure the garden is completed within the given deadline.

To ensure the project’s success, the site survey will be completed within ten days. The garden will have two central gates with a fence around it to provide a safe and secure environment.

During a recent visit to the garden site, the Chairman CDA, along with other officials, directed the officers to prepare PC-I for the project.

Moreover, the beautification of the green belt in front of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has also been directed, with more trees and flowers to be planted to make it more appealing to the public while also being environmentally friendly.

The construction of the grand garden at D-Chowk will be a significant development for the capital, and it is expected to draw visitors from all over the country.

Furthermore, the CDA’s efforts to enhance the beauty of Islamabad will have a positive impact on the city’s image and make it more attractive for tourism and business opportunities.
