ISLAMABAD: In its ongoing efforts to eradicate illegal constructions and encroachments, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) carried out a successful anti-encroachment operation in Bheka Sayedan on Tuesday.
According to sources, a total of 180 rooms, 40 washrooms, 22 kitchens, and 30 illegally occupied premises were demolished during the operation.
Under the directives of Chairman CDA Noorul Amin Mengal, the enforcement authorities, including the Enforcement Directorate, Land and Rehabilitation Department, Islamabad Administration, and Islamabad Police, joined forces to eliminate encroachments on government land in Bheka Sayedan.
Using heavy machinery, the team demolished 30 illegally occupied premises that comprised 180 rooms, 40 washrooms, and 22 kitchens, all of which were built on government land.
The primary objective of the operation is to clear encroachments and facilitate the completion of development projects in the acquired sectors.
Chairman CDA Mengal emphasized the importance of removing encroachments promptly and urged the swift completion of development works in Sayedan.
He also assured that the operation to reclaim the acquired land from encroachers would continue without any bias.
It is worth mentioning that the CDA administration has been actively engaged in anti-encroachment drives for several months, resulting in the recovery of government land worth billions of rupees.
