CEO Cantt Board Peshawar Holds Public Hearing

PESHAWAR: On Wednesday, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cantonment Board Peshawar convened a public hearing to address the concerns and problems that the locals and business community are now experiencing.

As per the details, President Tajir Ittehad (Traders’ Alliance) Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Chairman Shaukat Ullah Hamdard, Mian Muhammad Aqeel, and Zafar Minhas spoke on behalf of the trader’s community.

They outlined issues that the community faces, including those related to property tax, professional tax, lease tax, encroachments, illegal parking, electric cables, sewage system, and beautification campaigns.

The CEO Cantonment Board acknowledged all public complaints and provided assurances that all issues will be resolved.

Besides, he also promised that before taking any action in this direction, the community and other stakeholders would be consulted.

In a similar vein, earlier, Mayor Peshawar acknowledged the rights of the traders in the Namak Mandi parking plaza that was still under construction and assured that legitimate requests would be taken into consideration.

He also advised the business community to communicate with Peshawar Metropolitan’s property division to get their issues resolved at the earliest.
