ISLAMABAD: Chairman CDA Muhammad Usman Younis has directed the authorities to initiate operations to retrieve state lands from illegal possessions.
The operation was carried out with the help of the district administration and the Islamabad Police.
Heavy Machinery was deployed in order to demolish illegal constructions in different areas of the capital.
As per the details, the operations started from Islamabad sector H-8 near Shifa Hospital where all the illegal stalls built on the greenbelt were removed.
Following that, the anti-encroachment teams moved to IJP road where the shop owners have illegally occupied the road which was having an adverse impact on the traffic flow.
In sector G-8, vehicles that were parked on the roads and footpaths were also removed and strict action was taken against the showroom owners.
Furthermore, the Anti-encroachment operations are also carried out on the main Murree road, Barakahu in order to ease out the traffic congestions and it was shared on the official Twitter handle of the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad.
