ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA), Captain (Retired) Muhammad Usman Younis, officially inaugurated a newly constructed rainwater rechargeable well in PMD Sector H-8/2.
The Chairman was informed that 100 recharge wells had been built at various locations throughout the city.
Of these, 60 rechargeable wells have already been completed, while the remaining 40 wells are currently under construction and are expected to be completed soon.
It was also reported that these recharge wells had saved more than one million gallons of rainwater.
It is important to note that these recharge wells are built to collect and store rainwater which could be used for irrigation or other non-drinking purposes.
The chairman praised the efforts of the CDA engineering wing for successfully completing these recharge wells and urged them to keep working on such initiatives to make the city greener.
