LAHORE: On Wednesday, interim Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi gave the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) the go-ahead to finish the Samanabad Morr Underpass project by April 15, 2023.
The Chief Minister gave the LDA and affiliated organizations these directives, stating that a plan should be established to work 24 hours a day on the project and that all required resources should be used to accomplish it ahead of schedule.
The Chief Minister also gave instructions to increase the number of workers and machines, adding that the project’s early completion would make it easier for residents and motorists.
According to the Caretaker Chief Minister, it is important to establish an efficient traffic management strategy to maintain traffic flow while the project is being worked on.
He added that the Samanabad Underpass development would facilitate the residents of Samanabad, Gulshan Ravi, Tauheed Park, Multan Road, Chaubarji, Chowk Yateem Khana, and other regions.
As per the details, costing Rs. 2.3 billion, the 400-meter Samanabad underpass had an original completion date of September 30, 2023.
