CM Punjab Lays Foundation Stone for Data Darbar Parking Plaza and Underpass

LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, recently laid the foundation stone for the Data Darbar parking plaza and underpass.

He stated that the government was working to improve infrastructure in the area, including the installation of elevators for elderly and disabled visitors, in order to alleviate difficulties during the annual Urs event.

The parking plaza will have the capacity for over 500 vehicles and will be connected to the shrine via an underground route.

Mian Aslam Iqbal, Saeed-ul-Hasan Shah, Mian Rasheed, Haji Shahid Hameed, Aslam Tareen, secretary housing, secretary auqaf, secretary C&W, secretary information, administrator Data Darbar and others were also present.

The Chief Minister also unveiled a project in partnership with Madina Foundation to expand the corridor around the shrine to accommodate more visitors, featuring marble tiles and wooden work.

Additionally, he highlighted several other projects worth 23 billion rupees that have been recently launched in Lahore to improve accessibility and infrastructure in the city.
