CM Punjab Lays the Cornerstone for Major Infrastructure Projects in Lahore

LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, recently laid the cornerstone for three major infrastructure projects in Lahore: The Samanabad Cricket Stadium, the Samanabad Morr Underpass, and the Gulshan-e-Ravi T Junction Underpass.

The Chief Minister and other officials and dignitaries attended the ceremony.

During the event, the Chief Minister revealed that 20 billion rupees’ worth of initiatives had begun in Lahore and would be finished within a year.

He stated that 7.53 billion rupees would be allocated to the three projects: the Gulshan-e-Ravi T Junction, the cricket stadium, and the Samanabad Morr underpass.

The Chief Minister also highlighted that the construction of the Samanabad Morr and Gulshan Ravi T Junction underpass would greatly improve traffic flow in the area.

He further claimed that steps were being taken to transform Lahore into a hub for building and development and a top-tier developed metropolis.

In addition, the Chief Minister announced that the restoration of Bund Road and Gulshan-e-Ravi T Junction had begun to alleviate traffic issues.

The Gulshan-e-Ravi T Junction and Bund Road rehabilitation are expected to be completed within eight months at the cost of 4.84 billion rupees.

These projects are expected to significantly reduce the area’s noise, smog, and environmental pollution.
