COAS Inaugurates Prefabricated Village in Flood-Hit Lasbela

LASBELLA: According to the ISPR Directorate, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Lasbella, Balochistan to inaugurate a pre-fabricated village in Lal Gul Goth for flood-affected residents.

As per the details, the village of Laal Gul Goth was severely damaged by the recent floods, losing all of its basic infrastructure, livestock, and other belongings while a new prefabricated village has been built that has a primary school, off-grid solar lighting, and a tube well.

The statement issued by the ISPR further stated that the Pakistan Army had pledged to help the villagers with the assistance of Frontier Works Organization (FWO), as the project reached its completion in a record amount of time.

The Army Chief also spoke with the teachers, kids, and villagers of the recently refurbished primary school in Lal Gul Goth and assured them that the reconstruction process would continue with the help of the federal and provincial governments.

Besides, the COAS was briefed by Major General Kamal Azfar, Director General FWO, on the status of the rehabilitation efforts for flood victims, according to the statement.

Additionally, the COAS also met with troops from Quetta Corps, FWO, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, and Pakistan Coast Guards, and expressed appreciation for their work during rescue, relief, and rebuilding operations.
