Commissioner Inspects Progress of Development Projects in Attock District

RAWALPINDI: The Commissioner of Rawalpindi Division, Liaquat Ali Chattha, recently visited the Attock District to review the progress of development projects.

During his visit, he directed the concerned authorities to speed up construction work and complete development projects within the shortest time frame.

A meeting was held during the visit, attended by officers from all departments in the district, where the Deputy Commissioner of Attock gave a briefing about the district’s historical, geographical, tourism, mining, and agricultural significance.

The Commissioner was informed about 118 ongoing schemes, including 26 from the Highway Department, 22 from the building department, and others, which would be completed at a cost of 26,376.82 million in the district.

The Commissioner was also updated on important issues such as dengue, corona, and polio, and was informed that Attock district was at the forefront of price-checking activities and that the administration was taking strict action against wheat and flour smugglers.

He also inspected the construction work of Haji Shah Road, visited the under-construction Mother and Child Care Hospital, and was briefed about its construction on 75 kanals of land and a total cost of Rs. 5,320 million.

He also visited the Government Asfandyar Bukhari District Hospital and Attock Khurd flour check post and the flour distribution point at People’s Colony where he was briefed on the operations.
