LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, led a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the progress of the Imamia Colony Overhead Bridge Mega Project.
During the meeting, Commissioner Randhawa emphasized the importance of coordination between the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), the National Highway Authority (NHA), and the convenience of the citizens during the project’s construction.
He highlighted the cooperation of all departments in Sheikhupura and Lahore for the timely completion of the Imamia Colony project.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, Randhawa issued directives to the traffic police officers. The Director of Development, Chief Engineer LDA, NESPOC, and NHA officers attended the meeting.
Following the meeting, Randhawa and other departmental officers visited the project site to assess the progress and provide on-the-spot instructions, while the representatives from the Traffic Police, Wasa, and LWMC were also present during the visit.
In the briefing, the commissioner was informed that the construction of the Imamia Colony Overhead Bridge is underway around the clock, being carried out by the National Logistics Cell (NLC) under the supervision of the NHA.
Randhawa also requested a daily progress report on the project and emphasized that the completion of both the Shahdara and Imamia Colony projects would effectively address the long-standing traffic issues.

The Shahdara and Imamai colony projects will definitely ease the traffic flow on GT road and the public at large. This Mega Project of NH and NLC should be given the credit for this project.
