LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore Amir Jan on Wednesday visited the railway station to Saddar roundabout as part of the ‘Shining and Green Lahore campaign.’
On the railway station Garhi Shahu to Sadar roundabout, the commissioner briefed the officers of PHA, WASA, MCL, and LWMC about the “Shining and Green Lahore campaign.”
While speaking to the media, the commissioner stated that all departments involved would complete the sanitation work, adding that work was also being done on secondary roads in addition to the main road.
He added that the government machinery was busy at work, making the entire area clean and green.
Plantation, removal of hanging wires, road marking, and restoration of pedestrian bridges were all part of the Shining and Green campaign, he said, adding that sewage and waste issues were being addressed.
DG PHA Zeeshan Javed stated during a press conference that PHA had made the Shining Lahore campaign a success.
Horticulture and plantation work had begun in all greenbelts, parks, and other public spaces throughout the city, he added.
