Minister for Housing Makes Key Decisions to Facilitate Citizens of Lahore

LAHORE: On Wednesday, Mian Aslam Iqbal, the provincial minister for housing, urban development, and public health, presided over a meeting in the housing department.

Shakeel Ahmed, the secretary of housing, gave a comprehensive overview of the department’s operations and the status of ongoing development projects.

The minister told the officials present at the meeting to come up with a good strategy for improving Mall Road while cautioning that without the consent of PHA, no billboard should be erected in its vicinity.

LDA’s one-window operation should be enhanced, and an effective action plan must be devised to end litigation in the institution; Illegal constructions should likewise be addressed, he stressed.

Mian Aslam Iqbal stated that the initiatives to beautify the city’s entrance and exit points should be finished as soon as possible.

Furthermore, he also argued that everyone had the right to safe drinking water, and the government would protect that right at all costs.

He instructed the relevant staff to think of a novel way to supply clean drinking water, and that the water delivery schemes should be operated under a sustainable strategy.
