Commissioner Lahore Plans to Take Action Against Illegal Constructions

LAHORE: The Commissioner of Lahore, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has planned to take a firm stance against illegal city construction. A meeting was held to discuss the performance of planning zones of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and Municipal Corporation Lahore (MCL).

It was concluded that MCL and LDA data integration would play a crucial role in stopping illegal constructions.

Furthermore, the Commissioner warned that any officer failing to stop illegal constructions and buildings would be dismissed from their position. He emphasized that the data integration app, designed to monitor illegal constructions, would be implemented across the entire city.

In the second phase of this initiative, the data integration app will be made accessible to the citizens, enabling them to report illegal constructions by sending pictures.

This move is part of a broader initiative to curb illegal constructions and ensure the development of the city is carried out in a planned and organized manner.

The involvement of citizens in this process will not only empower them but also aid the authorities in keeping a check on unauthorized constructions.
