RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Saqib Manan has set a December 31 deadline for completing the computerization of land revenue data in the division’s six districts.
As per the details, the commissioner became aware of the poor pace of land record digitization and issued instructions for the task to be finished before the deadline. So far, 84% of mouza (village) data have been computerized.
It was also instructed that Girdawari (crop inspection record) digitization must also be finished.
An anonymous senior district administration official also indicated that digitization was extremely slow owing to the insufficient computerization of new housing societies in several mouzas.
It was also stated that the government wished to digitize the land records in order to remove the inconvenience of the people visiting the office.
